S.Murat Çelikten

Murat Law office's founder, S. Murat Celikten, attended Ankara College and earned his lawyer degree from the Ankara University Faculty of Law. Additionally, he earned a master's degree in European Community Law from the Social Sciences Institute of Ankara University. He has recently focused particularly on trade secrets, damages under arbitration proceedings, and legal remedies against software offenders.

The most well-known of his published books are "Turkish Competition Law," "World Intellectual Property Rights and Remedies (Turkey)," and "Consumer Protection in A Global Economy." He has written numerous essays about franchise and distribution agreements, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property rights, trademarks, industrial designs, patents, and other practical legal issues that have been published in business and legal periodicals.

As the firm's founder, he continues to advise both foreign and domestic clients on matters relating to competition law, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment procedure, energy law, franchising, arbitration, and intellectual and industrial property law. He works closely with law societies, individuals, and authorities in Germany, Malta, Italy, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

He is fluent in English and intermediate in German. He is still working as a licensed attorney with the Ankara Bar Association and a registered trademark and patent agent with the Turkish Patent Institute. He belongs to both the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the International Bar Association (IBA).
